Kristina Naden - Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing - Otago Polytechnic
Kristina Naden is a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing at the School of Animal Health at Otago Polytechnic and has been lecturing in vet nursing since 2009.
Following graduation, Kristina worked in a mixed practice and then as a surgical nurse in a referral clinic. She also trained as an equine dental technician and ran her own successful business in that field for a number of years until her body could no longer handle the physical demands of the work.
Kristina discovered a passion for research and is currently engaged in a PhD (she's in the process of upgrading her Master's to a PhD).
Kristina is also involved in several other research projects:
- the health and disease status of dogs in Tonga
- the engagement of Allied Veterinary Professionals (AVPs) with CPD.
In her spare time, Kristina is usually doing something with her three horses, catching up on farm work at home.
